SOLO

Indian voices and eclectic grooves

And she did it.

After living around the world for more than 12 years and learning from the greatest masters, she decided that it was time to get back home and play her music.

She lived in Montreal, New York, Beijing and Brussels; learned and practiced the music traditions of South India, Iran and jazz; performed all around the globe with musicians and dancers. Back in France and after working with Sixun, Nguyen Lê, Sophie Alour, and Olivier Louvel, she decided that it was time to tell her stories and play her compositions.

Raphaëlle SOLO

An around-the-world journey that features traditions from South India and Iran, all deeply rooted in the language of jazz. Raphaëlle is smoothly traveling from one language to another, telling stories, taking us along with her everywhere. It’s tender, it’s brilliant. And so refreshing!

Well. She’s crazy and we love it.

Se promène à l’aise sur des sentiers ethniques colorés tout en se tenant à l’écart des grandes routes encombrées de la musique world.
